Mother Nature

Art Jonker painted this painting to honor women and to recognize their contributions to the evolution and humankind. The original mother suckles a baby; along with the baby she cradles civilization. Organized agriculture and modern urban society is dependent on her milk. Female forms are the clouds in the sky. It is their rain that will provide the sustenance for humankind's future.
