Painted while Art Jonker was studying
the work of the Group of Seven, in particular Lauren Harris.
This is an imaginary scene inspired by Harris's work as
well as the scenery from where Art grew up near Nelson, British
Columbia. It is meant to be representative of the awesome
beauty of nature combined with its cold forbidding danger.
